Battlefield 1 Fullscreen mode keeps minimizing constantly.

Summarize your bug If I change BF1 to fullscreen mode after the game starts it keeps minimizing the window constantly. I can only play in borderless windowed but the framerate is terrible.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Set the game to fullscreen.
What happens when the bug occurs? After the game loads (in a small window) and changes to fullscreen it would simply minimize and everytime you try to go back to the window it minimizes again. Using windows key + tab to change to a different desktop and back sometimes makes BF1 go back to windowed mode and it allows me to change to borderless windowed.

Still haven't found any report with the same exact problem, and I would appreciate a solution since the terrible framerate nearly makes this game unplayable.
What worked for me was to go to options, (while going in and out of the game obviously) and change from fullscreen to windowed, or borderless. Should do the trick.
