Re: High Latency Issue Xbox One

It looks like I finally fixed the issue. It looks like I talked too from my ISP lied to me, and the ports were not actually open. Since I could not get into my router manually, I found a program online that opens the ports using the routers UPnP. I guess somehow the UPnP stopping working properly for some reason a few days ago or something like that. Everything seems to be fine now and latency is down to excellent levels.

Thanks for the post @Gish03, I've marked it as a solution.

Just so I can gather information if we see more of this, can I check your approximate location, ISP, and router?

    Cheers.

I have not been home to reply lately, but opening the ports with the program did help, but only to an extent. I still have periods of high latency at certain time intervals, and this is not due to my connection speed, but it is definitely a lot better than before. Yes, you are more than welcome to do so.

Before you mess around with opening ports, try this. Go to you settings, under network settings there is an option clear MAC address, select this. Your xbox will restart itself and the latency will be back to normal. I'm normally sat around 20 to 30 ms, but sometimes this will go up to 160 to 200ms, I tried resetting the router, hard powering down the xbox, messing about with ports but nothing would fix it. I found out about clearing the MAC address online, took me about 2 minutes to do it and fixed it straight away!
    Hope this helps

I'm closing this thread to stop it being necroed.

If you have any issues with Battlefield 1 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve it.
