Re: BF1 Has stopped working // ntdll.dll

Hi @1heSpartan

I'm sorry to hear that nothing so far helped with your issue ☹️

I'm not sure if you've already tried it, but could you use System File Checker and System Update Readiness tool? I think this article might also be helpful for you.

With ntdll.dll issues it's also worth trying to create a new admin account in Windows and test the game there.

Let me know if that solves your problem. Fingers crossed! 🤞

    Thanks for the response.

I think I may have resolved the issue prior to your response, currently I'm having to run my pagefile as "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" along with capping the games FPS to 120 both ingame and dropping the refresh rate on my monitor down to 120hz.

Followed the advice on this reddit page
    https://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_one/comments/63ecqc/pc_windows_exception_exception_code_0xc0000005/

Think my GPU (GTX980) is being bottlenecked by my CPU  (I7-4770k) OC to 4.0ghz

I will try your suggestions in hopes that it may resolve the issue further in order for me to re-enable 144FPS cap + hz.  Will post back with findings.

    Just to update:

I ran the system file checker you suggested and it did indeed find some old updates that my O.S was missing.  Strange considering Windows Update was stating my PC was fully up to date.

I have also ran repairs on all the VC Libraries from 2010/2013/2015/2017.

Will test BF1 in both environments with the new updates installed.
    - i.e switching it back to 144FPS cap / 144 hz, no pagefile)
    - and with page file system managed , 120hz capped

Will post findings in due course.

Just to report back, seems that using the System File Checker and installing/repairing VC libraries as Ataashi has suggested has done the trick.

I'm again able to play @ 144 FPS / 144 hz and no page file without the game crashing.

I've marked your response as the solution.

    Many thanks for your help.
