Re: Battlefield 1 operations lag

Hey @Raz0r_44222

We'd love to help you out! If you can share a DxDiag report that would allow us to see what we're working with.

Here's how to do that: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

There's an amazing PC performance guide that works for other games too. Check it out here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Main-topic-PC-Performance-issue/m-p/7012186/highlight/true#M20246

    Hello @EA_Blueberry !

Thank you for your replay! I have done what you said, I hope i attached the file correctly. I will check the PC performance guide too but the game works perfectly when I play the campaign or when there aren't that many players on servers. I'm waiting for your response and thank you for the help!

Hey @Raz0r_44222  the DxDiag shows me your driver for the video card is out of date. You'll want to either download the GeForce Experience to help it automatically update for you or visit the official site to manually download the driver for your Nvidia card. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

As someone else mentioned, your CPU is on he lower end with 4 cores and you may want to try adjusting the resolution to a medium or low setting in game to see if your FPS improves. Updating to the latest driver though might fix it for you though. Good luck!

Hello @EA_Blueberry  and thank you again for the reply!

I have installed GeForce Experience but it said that my driver is up to date. So I downloaded and installed it manually. After this nothing improved.

But I think that the problem is somewere else. More exactly at the rooter. Even tho I have a fast internet I had some connectivity issues in other games, issues like strict NAT type. I dont think I have the same NAT type problem but maybe something else might be the problem.

I also realised that in on operations I see the Latency Variation icon yellow and red. My laptop is powerfull enough to run the game at least in 60 fps. I tested it and it works in other game modes with a smaller amount of players. That's why I think it's because of some connectivity issues.

I am waiting for your response!

Oh and I forgot to say, the game runs in 60 fps with graphics set at high but on operations even if I turn the graphics to the lowest possible nothing changes, same lag.

    Hey @Raz0r_44222

Here are some other things you can try:

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/connection-troubleshooting-advanced-pc/

    1. Turn off the Origin in-game Overlay in the Origin Launcher

    2. Clean Boot: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

    3. Check your Frame Rate Limiter settings in game, in the Video/Graphics settings, and make sure it's set to 60, instead of Unlimited

Let us know if the Connection steps, and the other steps improve this issue for you.

    Thanks 🙂

Hi @iluminatethesky and thank you for the advice! I have tried your steps but sadly nothing improved. I still have the yellow/red Latency Variation icon on my screen. In the matches where the game runs smooth (like team deathmatch) there is no Latency Variation icon. Even lowering the resolution is not helping.

    @Raz0r_44222

What resolution are you running the game on?

Have you tried playing it in windowed mode?

Can you attach a new DxDiag for me?

    Hi @EA_Blueberry

I'm running the game in 1920x1080

Yes, I've tried to play it in windowed mode and full screen (currently I'm running it in bortherless)

Do you have any suggestions of how can I fix the latency variation? (I really start to think that the problem comes from there)

And here is the new DxDiag file

    Thanks for the reply!

There's a new driver update for your video card today. Can you try updating that and see if you're still experiencing any FPS drops?

Hello and sorry again for the late response

I've tried changing the v-sync even some combinations of turning it on in game and off in Nvidia control panel and turning it totally off too. But don't you think that it comes form the high latency? I read on Google that there are some people who experience the same problem as me and they mention the high latency problem too

  • It doesn’t come from high latency dude, your CPU is not good enough for 64p modes, I’ve had exactly the same CPU as yours and was struggling just like you. Bought a new laptop with a much better processor (i7) and the lag is gone.

    Hi @kristalshards

Then why am I not getting a better experience if I lower the graphics considering I've met the minimum requirements?

  • Because lowering graphics helps mostly the graphics card. The more players you have, the more stress it puts on your CPU because it has to render much more etc. That’s why 24p modes work for you and 45+ don’t work properly.
