Cant launch battlefield 1

I've bought bf1 in this recent sale but it does not work at all, everytime i launch it the ea app basically restarts and nothing happens (game bought off steam) i tried EVERY hotfix and quickfix i could find, making a new windows user, trying to launch ea app, steam and game with admin, without admin, with compatibility mode, clearing cache, reinstalling ea app, reinstalling the game, puttin all of the .exes in to admin mode, clean boots, turning off antivirus etc. NOTHING WORKED, and the ea chat support basically "Forwarded" me to their technical team. What can I do? It's so frustrating to not be able to play the game I paid for.
Is there anything else I can try? Please, I really want to play this game lol, I've spent lots of time debating between bf1 and bf5 and when i finally decided to buy bf1(hopefully the right choice) I CANT PLAY IT.

It's funny to see this issue occuring every time there is a sale happening.

So you don't need Steam to play Battlefield games the only thing required is the EA App.

My recommendation is to refund it and purchase it on EA shop. There is a sale happening there right now as well.

Also needing two clients to play a game that requires only one is silly and if for whatever reason Steam would be down you wouldn't be able to play BF 1 since I think it needs to have both clients open, just  like Ubisoft Connect works with Steam.

As a general recommendation purchase games over the required client to avoid problems like these.

    Hope this helps

Thanks! But do these problems get fixed after sales usually? I'd prefer to have the game on steam bc it is easier to play with friends and i dont wanna go trough the hassle of refunding it. Also I'm not sure if I still get the revolution pack if i purchase it trough the ea app.

I mean since I own the game on on EA app only I have never encountered these issues, but would you be able to tell me if you can launch the game with steam only or do you need the EA app to run at the same time ?

I strongly assume you need both open.

My only purchase through steam of Ubisoft games ended in a similar issue and eventually I started buying only on the native required client only.

Thing is BF games run on EA servers so whether you got it on steam or not it doesn't matter.

I wouldn't be able to tell if the problem gets solved after the sale, I only see the posts on the forum and reddit after every sale 😃 .

I did a bit of searching on google and there are a ton of different solutions which worked for some but didn't for others.

You can get both the normal and the revolution edition on EA app.

Battlefield came to Steam only 2-3 years ago, up until then it was on Origin only.

And if I'm correct you still need to add friends on EA app in order to join games (unsure).
