Re: BF1 for PC Doesn't Start After EA anticheat Update

@Rev327th Thanks for the reply. It sounds like the Steam version of BF1 definitely caused even more issues.

@98thCommandment it might be, even completely reinstalling the game didnt't fix it for me but today the progress bar in the anticheat splashscreen filled up. Still having the same problem but at least this time it filled up before returning to steam.
  • Yo, I bought the game on steam and I cant play. My problem is as following: I launch the game, it goes to EA, it launches the AntiCheat screen and when the bar is filled up, it quits and just stops working. I dont have any errors, Ive tried everything for the past 12 hours. Please man.

  • I finally bet it, guys. But for this I made fn "diskpart clean" comand, reinstalled Windows 11 24H2 with all latest updates, installed EA and BF1 with AC. And it worked. I'm crying. Before that I've tried all other things mentioned here but it didn't work, spent a week for this.

I'm now afraid of installing other apps I need, lol. EA, what did you do to us.

    Good luck to you all..
    See you in Ballroom

@Laretti999 Damn it, bro. Are you sure it's version 24H2? I have version 23H2 installed right now. I'm going to format it after I make my backups. I hope it's solved, I have 540 hours and it's a game I really enjoy playing. I never thought I would format for a game...
  • @RootVDOM Absolutely same bro, I never formated for a game in my life, damn it, but it solved. Yes, it is 24H2 (build 26100.2161) now on my PC.
Wish you good luck with it.
  • 90% of the problem with BF1'a anticheat program is a program running in the background in Windows 11.

To see all the programs launched at startup on Windows 11, open the Settings app, navigate to Apps > Startup

Disable any programs that may be installed for "Gaming Performance" "Network performance"
Then disable any programs that are assigned to "mice macros"
Antivirus can also be an issue

Reboot your system and relaunch EA app and Battlefield 1.

  • @FraziePup sadly not working, i have nothing running in the background (besides steam and ea app) and windows defender is disabled. Somehow only battlefield with this anticheat not working for me.

@Laretti999 Sorry for writing a little late.

I was able to enter the game after formatting my computer. I'm playing right now. I think all other friends need to do is to format their computers after taking backup files...

After about 10 days of research and trials, the last resort for me was to format because I could not find a solution ...

    Good luck to everyone.
  • @RootVDOM same, only way i fixed it was downloading the latest windows 11 24h2 .ISO and doing a clean install
