@Shotgun_SusanIt's been covered in another linux thread, but both battleye and EAC have been confirmed to be working with wine/proton by the time the steam deck launches, it's something Valve have been working on getting up and running for a while now.

(technically you should be able to get it running with the latest proton beta, but check first before risking accounts).

I think EAC had a disclaimer saying it was "vendor optional" to enable linux support in individual games, but i have a feeling we'll get an answer during the beta as someone is bound to test it.
(and with BF being on steam, i'd be very surprised if they don't enable it as a sales point for the steam deck when it launches)

@Fringerunner, yep I'll be testing it for sure but would like to have some sort of answer in an official capacity, especially because of the people who reportedly got banned from BFV for using linux since Vulkan "modifies the game".

@Shotgun_Susan I took a look at the Apex proton page just to check a random game with EAC, bunch of people asking respawn to enable linux support on their EAC implementation now that it's an option, but it's not enabled yet. (as of two days ago at least)

So it does look like it'll be up to the individual vendors, so probably a good idea to wait for a statement from Dice or someone testing it during the beta.
