Re: BF2042 CPU Running At 100% Constantly For No Reason

Have this problem, too now. 

Started only after installing patch 3.1 for me. 

16 threads at 100% ... everything feels super stuttery. 

im using 5900x + 32gb 3600 ram + 3080 , cpu and gpu usage low 30%30% , in 1080p/2k/4k same fps 5x-60 fps some times more low  , EA say they optimization the fps in 12/2, but it still like a ssssssshhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttt..............

When EA will fix any body know?????cant play it man.................i just want to game

Same as well, this has been driving me nuts! 

Running an i7 10700k, 32gb Ram and a EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra gaming and no matter what settings are changed, same issue. Super low GPU usage and high cpu usage. 

GPU will run 6-8% while the cpu will be at 49-55%  running 1440p on ultra 165hz.

EA FIX THIS PLEASE! 

same here, i have i7-8700 and gtx 1080, CPU always on 95-99% of usage and gpu only 30-40% 

Problem is your cpu is weak, there for low gpu usage

I'm re-downloading the game just to see if it works, thanks man. (It will take like 2 days to download with my * net 😅)

Btw, I've got  an:

Processor: i5-10300H 2.50ghz (8 CPUs) 

GPU: RTX 3050

RAM: 40GB

It tends to run at 40-60 fps but decreases drastically to 10-15 by few miliseconds due to CPU Usage at (100%).

@toppicit would seem so at 8 cores 2.5ghz, this game pegged my fx8150 @3.9ghz and that's and 8 core.. not the best CPU performance wise though

Well, I am back into unable to play.   I had an ERROR: 3005 that locked me out of playing.   That is the error you get when your anti-cheat can't start for some reason.   No idea why as I had been playing for a couple of hours when it happened.   Online said to reboot.    When I did, I could get into the game, but I was having CPU / stuttering issues again.   I am sure it reverted my settings to default.   I've tweaked all the ones I know, but it's still stuttering.   It's not as bad as it was, but it's still unplayable.   I can't recall ALL the tweaks I've made.   

*sigh*

I just want to play the game.

So I have a gaming laptop which had a 135W power supply and it was getting super hot and 2042 was jittery and lagging etc just like all the posts above. Since the wire was a bit worn out the only replacement I could find with the same voltage (most are 19V, mine is 19.5V) I could only find a 180W supply and now my game runs nice and smoothy and I can even turn the graphics up a bit. This may not be the same for everyone, but even on desktops, try uprating your power supply because there are bound to be people out there running uber new graphics cards but didn't upgrade the power supply.

And also disabled Future FPS Prediction as @heychadwick said. Now everything works fine for me 👌 btw, I only tried playing in low graphics and it runs at 60fps. 

Also, gotta mention that I only play Conquer(64 players) if I play the 128 version my internet blows up.
