[RESOLVED] EA Friends Not Working In BF2042 Since May 27 Update

There are massive connection problems between EA Friends Network and Battlefield 2042. Can't see friends in party or no friends online at all. It usually starts late in the day during "prime time" 20:00 to 23:00. It's not an individual problem because all my friends have it at the same time. We can't play together. Region is germany. This happened recently for about a week straight, then went away. Today it's back.

    Hi everyone,

    Thank you for continuing to share your reports around the EA Friends (EA Connect) and Rich Presence features in Battlefield 2042.

    With the release of Battlefield 2042 Update #8.9.0, we believe the issue affecting PC players (across EA app, Steam, etc.) when connecting with friends on other platforms should now be resolved. Console-to-console connections were unaffected, but cross-platform interactions involving PC were previously impacted.

    If you continue to encounter issues with these features after the update, please let us know. We’re still monitoring this closely.

    Since the last update when trying to join a match in a 2 person party, one party member will not load into the match. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for it? Toggling cross play did not help fix the issue. Both party members are playing on PC. No connection issues when playing other games or browsing internet.

    Hi @PriorityOmega, if you make a party and then join a server, then your friends join your party. Do they join you on that server?

    Seems to be my issue too.
    When 2 of us, I always get black screen after one round during final stats screens.

    If I back to the menu and wait for the party leader to start searching for next match it might work. So far that worked 4 times but still exploring.

    I have the same problem on PS4, we can’t join each other mid-game. Puts the other in a queue of 1/1 no matter if there’s empty spots or not

    bf2042 cant see any friends online. all my friends on discord having the same problem right now?

    I think they have problems with servers right now.It is not just you and me.Legit before 1 hour i dont have problems...but now after the game my list just went off(same for some of my friends).All of us try to go into a new game and everything is fine.Pretty sure problem is not in our internet connection , only in there servers.

    Don't worry. It will go away on its own. Minor internet problems.
