Suggestion from one of the staff:
Create a new user account with Admin rights and see if that resolves the issue.New admin account didn't help here, but I did not log out from my other account, so I'll try logging out later.
@The_Tibberdid that yesterday, same problem... trying to upgrade to w11 atm since it worked for someone
W11 is installed. same problem.I have the same problem with Battlefield V and 1 in addition to 2042. The new admin account helped for Battlefield 1 but not for 2042. I also have a "complicated" multi drive setup with an m.2 as my C drive, and all my games on a windows storage space comprised of 3 sata SSDs.
@The_Tibber
Created a new user again, and at least i got this error message from easy anti cheat:

Let me know the results.
Hi,
It's OK for me after a upgrade to W11 and a creation of a new users..
@loich17 Thats awesome, given the new data recently it maybe a conflicting piece of software.
One of them mentions Razer Synapse, specifically the game scanner.
Another was RGB lighting software, the kind for motherboards, fans n such.
@The_Tibber
I cannot find any Razer program/service in task manager, ☹️
this is the whole error after closing my light,gpu,fan programs:

I managed to get EAC to throw this error: Error 30005: Create File Failed With 32
but only once and I couldn't replciate it, I deleted the EasyAntiCheat.sys as per articles when googling.
Random clue if it helps anyone, the process starts loading something and runs up to ~1.5GB memory usage and 6% CPU for a few seconds, before it all dwindles down to 0 and 9MB (always exactly 9MB)
Have you check through this list? https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360007853137--PC-How-to-Resolve-Most-Easy-Anti-Cheat-Errors
Things that also block EAC could be backup software and/or cloud software.
Better idea, do a clean boot of windows then repair EAC.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3ddYes some programs may affect EAC but a clean boot should disable everything.
That image....
Okay follow my last comment and if it fails disable any thrid party antiviruses, VPNs, backup software you may have.
How come this topic has been marked "SOLVED"?
Nothing in this thread helped.
Best regards.
Its so players are aware that this issue is being looked at by staff, we are currently trying stuff out also because the fixes we have already tried did not work and we are currently looking at what individual apps could be causing the issue.
Current plan:
Somekind of App is preventing EAC from working.
We need to find that app and disable it, or clean boot windows. ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd )
Then repair EAC with admin rights.
then hopefully the game will work.Im just waiting on players replies if it fixed the issue
@The_Tibber I only have Bitdefender (there's bitdefender VPN but it's just trying to upsell it to me, I don't use it), however on the offical EAC page it marks it as 100% compatible and whitelisted. I've also added exceptions. There is no way to completely disable bitdefender, you can turn off modules, which I did while testing, but yeah, I will do a fresh windows install when I get some time
Ahh okay.
I personally try to avoid third party antiviruses and stick with windows security.
If I do come across a virus I usually use malwarebytes if windows security fails and that is usually if i instal something sketchy :P
- @The_Tibber I've been having the same issues and I wondered if this would help at all with trying to figure it out.

xtuservice.exe Before I process a refund from Amazon, do we know if EA are even working on a fix for this game ? When they say it will work but you get a double load error and issues with anti-cheat......why is it seriously so difficult to fix ? Playing 15 minutes in total since launch is ridiculous. Wasn't the trial period and early release supposed to have identified issues already ? Have people been abusing the trial.exe somehow ?
