Re: Directx Error (CreatedCommitResource),(Invalid was passed to returning fucntion)

Same here, beta ran fine.

Ryzen 2600X

GTX 1660Ti

Windows LTSC 1809

Only solution I found was a refund.

Can Anyone help us? Any news? Any report from devs about this issue?

This isnt a solved thread, please help us !

CM Edit: Please don't mass tag.

  • Being that the EA STAFF is blatantly ignoring this thread. I tried to open up a ticket through the OFFICIAL EA.COM WEBSITE. Guess what happens when you select the BF2042 game and then try to submit a bug (see attached pic), they recommend I connect with them, but give ZERO OPTIONS TO DO SO! GREAT JOB EA! You have successfully blocked your customers from submitting reports on the problems we are encountering. What a crock of ****. I've never been through such a terrible experience trying to get help for a game.

CAN ANYONE FROM EA READ THIS AND UPDATE US ON THE STATUS OF THIS ISSUE?

    HELLO?

  • I have downloaded this driver and I am still getting DirectX issues. I have a 2080ti and have not been able to load the game for more 5-minute intervals before I crash.

EA staff is really sad. So nvidia driver wont fix it,  the only way is waste time doing factory reset and installing all versions  of Windows and pray for a working one.(if you got luck).

In a steam forum with this same directx error , someone posted this "fix" (i cant test it right no because im at work)

Steam user: I have a different potential fix. Download vkd3d and dxvk. Take d3d12.dll from vkd3d, and take dxgi.dll from dxvk, put them in game folder, try playing game.
    https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton/releases
    https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases

For vkd3d, you can use either peazip or 7-zip-zstd to extract it. Regular 7-zip and other unarchivers don't work because for some reason they used zst to compress it.

I tried this and it doesn't work. Easy Anti-Cheat thinks that you're trying to use hacks with that.

    I attached the 2 errors.

@Macavity1ah ok mate, thanks for test it. So i dont know, i have check lots of forums and cant get any news or possible fix. Just people's who update system (windows) and it worked :/

  • @h0lck Yeah, it's looking more and more like the only fix is to update to Windows 11, but even then it seems like 50/50 on whether that actually works as well.

It's so strange that I literally had 0 issues last beta, and now I can't even get to the main menu. I don't want to go to Windows 11 just for ONE game, when that game worked flawlessly before.

    Hello 🙂

    i have fixed my crashes.

i have installed MSI Afterburner and do undervolting. rtx 3080 undervolting - YouTube

Than i overclock my Memory clock 500MHz

Now i can play without any crashes.

    My System:

Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 3080 XTREME

    AMD Ryzen 7 3700x

    32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 DIMM CL16

    Maybe it helps you.

  • @Schn1cksI assume you are talking about your crashes when you actually play the game, right?

Most people in this thread have never been able to get past the ship screen with the "Connecting to services" text to get to the main menu.

  • I got directx error once, but it disappear so fast, i cannot take a screenshot. So far, i am not able to run the game - it is just turning off by itself, without any error at first. Now, after i launch BF i got error in the upper right corner of the screen: Unknown Error // 2:2600J, and after a few seconds game is crashing.

My firt launch of the game brought me to loading a map after the intro of conquest, some calibaration options etc. Then, crash. Second too.

Few next attempts just stuck on some kind of loading screen, and now game just crases at random after launch. I got to menu ONCE, but just after that: crash.

No matter if i use EA Play app or Origin. Crashing all the time. Funny, as the beta runs just fine at the exact same config of my PC, even the same SSD!

I fell sorry for you guys who pay bigger price for the game to play it earlier. Even i considered that, but it was to pricey for me to do so. I just took a xbox game pass to test it, before i buy it near 19th Nov, but now? Nooo, no, no. Not a chacne of me buying it, when EA won`t even adress that kind of issue.

So, maybe it`s time to dump BF and go to play Halo Infinite? It`s free and most importantly... IT WORKS.

@Macavity1Yeah everything run fine in our Windows but this game wont pass the ship screen, 50/50 probability sucks for just a game. Btw, recently I have installed the game in my another laptop (poor requerimients) and it runs well. So i have no idea what is the problem lol. It has a Windows 10 pro for workstations (20h2 v19042). And mine is Windows 10 home single (1909 v18343)

I will try reemplacing some d3d12core.dll and other stuff from this laptop to my gaming one. Maybe it could work.

  • This worked like a charm. Thank you

  • @Dremoola Just to clarify. Do you mean the crashes that happens before getting to the main menu, or did you never have that issue in the first place, and your crashes were only in the game?

@Preatorian2 Thanks. Well, since new nvidia drivers not fixed problem and EA wont help, we just have to wait until 19 nov for a patch (pretty sure it will not fix this issue) after that we just have to search a working Windows version and pray god for fix it :/
