Re: Why is there no Console Only Cross-Play?

Can we please have console only crossplay?

Playing with PC is making me want to uninstall the game only after two days of playing.

I'm tired of dealing with cheaters, tired of constantly getting domed by snipers, tired of having to deal with M+KB while being forced to use controller.

Make the crossplay like how it is for insurgency sandstorm. Crossplay is enabled for consoles only, the only time you will ever be put into a match with PC is if you're In a party with a PC player.

    @MyCanklesHurt Whine whine whine some more. Blaming PC hackers for your poor performance is pathetic. If you want to see actual hackers, try BFV. Spend some time reading the threads about desync, network coding, no ping limiters so you might play with someone from out of region with a 300 ping… the game has so many issues that you have no right to accuse the PC community of hacking. I have over 900 hours on this game and have seen maybe 3 to date. You are correct about M&K, that’s fact. Playing only with your platform will give you way better game results as most of the network issues seem associated with crossplay, however the player base is so small and enough players have crossplay on you’ll never find a match. Without the baseless hackusations I’d have supported you and your post, but you had to start out by accusing us (shocker I’m a PC player) so all you do is further divide the population. It’s rude and weak sauce. We’re better off working together to get Dice to fix more of the issues the game continues to have, but nope, you gotta attack your fellow gamers without a shred of evidence. Grow up.

    They aren't baseless "hackusations" almost everytime I've questioned how I died it has been a PC player that killed me. Ranging from getting "one-shot" with full auto guns (i dont even have time to react to the incoming fire before i die,) to getting pre fired around quite a few corners, or long range engagements when I shoot first only for them to flick and dome me instantly.

    And even the few times I don't question it and think "man that guy is really good" I see the PC icon and go "oh, nevermind he's playing with a mouse"

    Im also tired of getting domed by PC snipers running around like it's CoD.

    The solution for console is that dice does crossplay the way insurgency sandstorm does it, or we uninstall the XSX/PS5 version and install the X1/Ps4 version and play amongst ourselves. I'm installing the X1/Ps4 version as we speak right now.

    You got aim assist/aimbot on console. What are you complaining about?

    @MyCanklesHurt Everything you describe has been addressed by numerous posts and is related to the game. Everything. Not hacks, bad programming. You don’t see me making posts about consoles using Cronus devices, or how the network ability of XBox on wifi is one of the reasons why the cross play is so bad so all Xbox should be banned. Give your head a shake, put some time into researching your concerns, a lot of experienced and smart players, both PC and consoles, have written extensively on these issues. It’s not that you’re bad, or that PC players cheat, the game has significant and quantifiable issues. It might be that you’re bad on top of the game issues, but most likely it’s the game. Have a good life.

    I remember back in the day(2009-10) everyone would say "post your stats" if an OP like this ever came along if we had crossplay in games and for this long.

    @ATFGunr I've yet to be killed by a console player who will instantly know where I am and proceed to dome me after I land a single shot on him.

    Even if what you say is true and that all of these issues are because of dice's incompetence, I still don't want to play against PC who have the advantage of m+kb. I'm still leaning towards cheaters than the games coding.

    I've watched videos of previous battlefield titles and whenever there was talks about "this guys is cheating" it was always on PC.

    I also played the first CoDMW1 with crossplay enabled gues what? Cheaters. Cheaters that didn't even hide it, OHKO, wallhacks, headshot tracking, God mode. I disabled crossplay and never went back despise having a couple buddies on PS.

    You're lying to yourself when you say there isn't cheaters in this game.

    I'm so glad I'm nowhere near as good as I was 10 years ago in FPS games. If I was still mainlining Battlefield games I probably do 50-0 in almost every game I play and get called out for being a hacker. Especially now since we have crossplay. I thought bad PC players were bad at doing that back then but console players take the cake now.

    @DPsx7 that is cheating. I use mouse when games support it. But for whatever reason bf2042 doesn't support it on console despite matching us with m+kb

    @MyCanklesHurt Dice should make add M&K support for those who want it, I’ve supported console players on that since day 1. Until recently the mouse input had been broke for months too. It’s been tough all over. I know cheaters exist, I never denied that. They are not however, rampant in AOW. I read these forums a lot, and I have heard of there being more visible hackers in different regions, I play on west coast of North America servers and I have not seen some vast wave of PC hackers anywhere. (I think) I’ve seen a small handful over 900 hours of play man, I get nothing out of BSing you. The game has vastly improved since release, but still has some really critical issues.

    @MyCanklesHurt How? It's the right tool for the right game, no different than someone using a joystick or steering wheel.

    Because it allows mouse + aim assist + recoil reduction.

    @ATFGunr even that small handful is too much for me. I absolutely hate cheaters and think as a first time offense they should be permanently banned.
