I had this exact same issue!

It appears to be related to turning off 3rd party opt-in for targeted advertising on your EA Profile.
Can you check if turning on 3rd party opt-in on your profile > waiting a few hours (could take up to 12h) > and then checking again in the game if the bottom part of the main screen is empty?
