So funnily enough, I was getting another issue this morning when trying to launch the game where it would just stick on a small black box screen.
Fix: Delete settings folder in ~/Documents/BF2042/
I was then able to join a game after re-doing all my settings, and I didnt experience the floaty mouse issue as shown in the video.
Will keep playing to confirm it fixed the issue. (for now)
On the surface, the problem seems to be related with Mouse Input. This is not the case at all. The issue is entirely caused by the latest version of Nvidia driver.
Geforce Game Ready Driver 522.25
I experienced this issue yesterday evening, after downloading the new driver. I performed clean installation and removed every profile. My friends had exactly the same problem on the Turnig and Ampere GPUs.
Rolling back the older version of the Nvidia driver solves the issue entirely.
This issue should be further verified and Nvidia employees should be informed that their driver has broken your product.
It isnt an Nvidia driver problem, as it was happening on 521 driver too and on WAY earlier drivers.
It's an issue with battlefield
It hasnt re-appeared yet (Nvidia Driver 522.25) but Im not holding my breath, as this issue was an inconsistent one on previous drivers / versions of the game althought I havent been experiencing it intermitently during gameplay these past few updates.
I recently bought the game on steam when it went on sale for 20$. I'm having the same issue as OP was, but none of the fixes from the thread have worked.

@Tygvrs Negative, Rolling back the driver did not fix my issue, this problem didn't happen day one, was an issue all day on day two. Deleting settings folder did not fix either.

I didn't catch that. The thread was right near the top of the recent posts and it was applicable so I assumed it was October this year. Sorry @h3x1e 🤭
