So I started off with an i5 8400 which did ok kinda on BF2042. I moved up to an i5 10040 and it really didnt do anything. One of my gamer buddies told me I should run the i7 10700 because BF wouldnt lag or have FPS drops like Im having now because 128 conquest needs 8 cores. 

Is he right? Ill buy that i7 tonight if thats the case.

    @GrizzGolf its not only cpu, you need to check yopur memory also, at wich Hz it can run , also check if its dual channel ! What brand / part number of mem you got now in your system ? What typ motherboard ? Als important before ya start swapping struff, if its compatible (check QVL ) AT WEBSITE FROM YOUR MOTHERBOARD AT SUPPORT !!!
