Security Violation: DiscSoftLTD

This happened to me after I installed BF4. Had no issues, 1000hrs in 2042 now this... **bleep** IT !
Tried uninstall, reinstall (both games) uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired rebooted Daemon tools... all variants... no fix.

hooray, it worked, try to remove this Daemon Tools from yourself.... and after that, I started the BF2042 without any problems.    🔊

As already mentioned, other people have resolved this error by removing Daemon Tools, reWASD etc. It might be worth trying to uninstall anything from Disc Soft.

Is there any solution if you don't have any of the Daemon Tools,  reWASD or anything from Disc Soft installed on my PC but are still getting the same error message? It seems quite a few other BF2042 players are having the same problem as my PC. All i can think of is that it is related to the windows update last night? EA?

tried this and it still does not work. Insane how they dont do anything and expect us to find solutions with each other

My way of finding was: Registry Editor > Edit > Find > discsoft > Search in subtree > Find Next
It is slow
But it is good to kinda point you in the right direction if any disc soft is installed somewhere

I did also find 'Disc Soft' in 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Disc Soft', but was empty

**Be careful what you modify with Registry Editor

This partially fixed the issue. There was another Daemon USB device listed in Universal Serial Bus Devices, once i removed both the game worked
