No, though I am technically using an external GPU supporting my laptop to play, and I use Steel Series software for my headphones. Do you think it might be something like that?

this software i would disable (better uninstall) and test game again !
Use REVOUNINSTALL , make sure to check advanced, to make sure folder and registry key leftover can be selected and removed/deleted !!
