Re: Blue Screen of Death after closing BF2042 *FIX HAS BEEN FOUND*

I was facing the same issue with my Asus TUF B660 / 12700F.

Anyway, renaming or stopping AsIO3.sys stopped the BSOD issue for me but now Armoury Crate displays an error (asus_framework.exe error: can't open asio3.sys).

Once I close the message, it pops up back again a few seconds later...very annoying! Even when I rename the service back to AsIO3.sys, the message persists. I think this botched Armoury Crate for me. Maybe good riddance.

So yeah, not sure why this is set as resolved when it's obviously still an open issue with less than ideal workarounds. This should be resolved in 6.2

  • Any news about the problem? I've tried to do what says in the topic, but nothing works.

  • Well, I just have to tell you to install Windows 11 and let Windows install all the drivers.

I have not installed any motherboard drivers from the Asus website and the problem has disappeared.

The computer works perfectly for me, even better than with the drivers on the motherboard itself.
    In case it helps anyone.

Is there anything new on the subject?

How long it takes to fix this problem is over a month.

  • Try to limit the FPS number. In BFV, in my case, the FPS limit solved this type of problem.

  • still *, the * anti cheat did more damage to the players than it probably did to cheaters

  • I keep coming back for a solution and keep hearing nothing. I'm not going to re-install Windows and disable my motherboard drivers to play this game. I'll just go play Call of Duty I guess. I dislike that game but I don't want to restart my computer every time I play a game.  The black screening was bad enough but me and the guys just muscled through it. The blue screens have turned us away completely.  I don't think they could have hired a group of people to sabotage their game on the release of another hit title as well as they've done this to themselves.

I dont have black screen since S3 or S4. But BSOD is new for me since S6. I can't disable the drivers because my AIO wont work.
EA and DICE are very disappointing.
