I've personally never had a bad launch but BF4 was probably the worst one of the bunch for the majority of players: it took months.

BF1 launched buttery smooth and V had a good one too so I'm not too concerned with 2042's launch.. to a degree - it looks to be their most complicated game to date.

Worst case scenario, I think you could fix any balancing issues with custom servers. I believe the community shot themself in the foot forcing DICE to half revert thr TTK/TTD changes they made in V

  • The smoothest launch was BFBC2, but that was because the demo was a good indicator of the load on the servers, every other launch usually took a week for the servers to stabilize before the random disconnects and frames per second issues cleared up. Balance always seems to come up, but that's because BF players find ways to use the weapons that the DEVs might not have considered, in addition to the needed tweaks to fine tune damage vs. ROF.

    I'm hoping for the best.
