Well I found the fix myself.
I had changed end zone art from a checkerboard with no border to a checkerboard with a natural grass border before the sideline. That make the system fail. I changed it back and it loaded fine
Well… nevermind. I thought I had it fixed. I added my alternate uniforms back in, now it freezes at generating logos every single time. I made sure everything was the same as before. I even changed up my alternates so it had no new logos that would mess with it (had one that was script helmet logos), no dice.
This is incredibly infuriating. I just want to play with my team. All I needed was the old teambuilder with 1-2 extra uniform options. Instead I get a system that can’t even create as many uniforms as NCAA 14 offered
I built the team from scratch as a new school and it submitted, but the field never rendered (it's a blank black abyss they play on).
Resubmitting once again never works.
Rebuilt the school for the 4th time from scratch as an all new school... now that won't even submit.
I created my school and saved it. I logged out of my profile on the Chromebook and logged in as a guest, then went to the website and submitted the team. Not only did it go through without freezing, it did so much faster than on my main user profile. I believe this is because as a “guest” user on the device, there are less background applications running.
This has worked twice now.
so, long story short: if on a Chromebook, build your team and save it, but only submit it through a guest profile on the device.
