Issues I've noticed in NCAA Football 25
1. The simulations are completely unrealistic. Upsets are far to frequent compared to reality. 2. The rankings system is badly flawed. Multiple multi-loss teams still ranked in the top 10 early in the season. A 7-4 team ranked #1 while there are other SEC and Big 10 undefeated teams. 3. Details in the Red River Rivalry are BAD. First off they list that Texas won the game in 2023, not Oklahoma and flipped the score. The fans are on the wrong sides of the stadium. That is one of the most electric and loudest games I've experienced, the rattling the QB and play call/audible issues should impact both teams instead of neither. 4. The likelihood for 4 and 5 star recruits to choose smaller, less prestigious schools happens far too often. When recruiting, I will set my prospect list to certain search criteria and filter them by pipeline and it's very annoying that when I do this and then click "team needs" my prospect list will reset to default and I have to set it up again. Please find a way so that when you click "team needs" it doesn't rest the board. Also, I find it to be frustrating that when you're looking at recruits it doesn't tell you if you've previously scouted the player or not. Countless times I've readded players I've already scouted that I don't want and I have to go back and search all over again. The game tells you if you've scouted them and they're bust or gems, so why not let you know if they've been scouted by the binocular icon if they're neither a gem or bust? This is what I want to see added to CFB 27 Team Builder 1: Unlimited Create a team on the website. 32 should be updated to 64 or give us the ability to buy DLC and get 120 Team slots like the OG NCAA Football 14 allowed you to do. 2: Allow all created teams on the website to be submitted on to the consoles and be used in all game modes (Play Now, Dynasty, Road to Glory) It is so frustrating to create 32 teams on the website but can only download 16 on the consoles. What about the other 16 teams? 3: Add more layers for the equipment and the field. It would be cool to place sponsors on the field like Verizon or Wal-Mart on the field. 4: Stadium Creator would be awesome 5: Add more generic stadiums. That was so needed compared to CFB 25. Maybe a Dome or smaller stadiums like high school stadiums. 6: Endzone art in the National Championship Game. The OG NCAA football 14 you had that in the game. When you submit the teams their endzone and field art is downloaded so why can't you use it the Natty? 7: Team Entrances before the game: The cut scene of the game just starting is not very immersive. The old NCAA games had this and even Maximum Football has this. 8: More helmets, jerseys and pants choices as well stripes. Bengal stripes, camouflage. 9: Create a sign. Once again, the OG NCAA 14 had this feature. 10: Create a coach. Once again, the OG NCAA 14 had this as well the older versions of the game. 11: More of the team's colors and logos throughout the stadium. 12: Save all created teams on the website from 25, 26 and 27. Don't have to import 26 teams to 27 like you had to from 25 to 26. 13: Add a trophy room in Team Builder 14: Go back to playing offline. 15: Make the Team Builder website available months before launch. We need more time to create the teams, search for logos, search for letter fonts and not have a week or a few days before launch. 16: Treat Team Builder like the other game modes and give updates. Context: How I Play Dynasty I play Offline Dynasty controlling multiple teams, and I dynamically choose which team to user-control when two of my teams meet. This allows me to: Run multiple programs simultaneously Build distinct team identities Simulate full conferences or eras This feedback is focused on that playstyle and the systems needed to properly support it. 2. Issue #1 – CPU Cannot Use Custom Playbooks for User Teams Problem: When two user-controlled teams play: I select one team to control The other becomes CPU-controlled However: The CPU-controlled team does NOT use a Custom Playbook and instead defaults to a stock/team playbook. Important Clarification This is not just a gameplay issue — it is caused by a deeper system limitation. There is currently NO way to assign a Custom Playbook to a team or coach in Dynasty ahead of time. Because of this: The CPU has nothing to reference It falls back to a default playbook Impact Team identity is lost Schemes I built disappear Head-to-head dynasty matchups become inauthentic I am effectively playing against a version of my team that does not run my system. 3. Issue #2 – No Persistent Custom Playbook Assignment (Root Cause) Problem: Custom Playbooks cannot be assigned to: A Team A Coach Current limitations: Only stock playbooks can be assigned in Dynasty settings Custom playbooks are NOT selectable from the coach/playbook screen Custom playbooks can ONLY be selected at the pre-game setup screen Only the actively controlled team can use a Custom Playbook Key Limitation When switching control between teams: The inactive team cannot retain or use its custom playbook The CPU cannot use it at all Impact Breaks continuity across a season Forces manual setup every game Prevents true system-based dynasty building Directly causes Issue #1 Suggested Fix (Foundational Requirement) Add the ability to: Assign a Custom Playbook to a Coach Assign a Custom Playbook to a Team in Dynasty settings Then: Ensure CPU-controlled teams can use that assigned playbook This single change resolves BOTH Issue #1 and Issue #2. 4. Issue #3 – Under-Center Multi-Back Offenses Are Incomplete I primarily run traditional under-center systems: I-Form (2 and 3 back) Power I Split Backs Wishbone The issue is not that these exist — they are not system-complete. Spread systems are well supported, but under-center offenses are fragmented and underdeveloped. 5. Formation Gaps Wishbone Only Wishbone Tight exists Missing: 1 WR sets 2 WR sets Impact: You cannot run a true Wishbone offense or recreate classic systems. I-Form (22 Personnel – Tight, Wing, Wing Over) ZERO option plays Missing: Inside Veer Triple Midline Triple Load Option Power Option Impact: This is a major authenticity gap. Power I Existing: Tight Strong Missing: Weak set Problem: Only ONE option play exists (Inside Veer Triple) Expected minimum per set: Inside Veer Triple Midline Triple Load Option Power Option Missing Formation – I-Bone Description: Based on I-Form Tight Replace one TE with an off-line wing (HB / FB / TE / H-back) Used by: Nebraska Michigan Ohio State Impact: Removes an entire hybrid I-Form/Option system from the game. 6. Core Issue This is not about adding random plays. The real issue: Under-center systems are not implemented as complete systems. Symptoms: Concepts exist in some formations but not others Option football is concentrated in flexbone and spread Traditional systems lack depth and continuity 7. Additional Request – Dynasty Data Export (Stats / History) I would strongly value the ability to export Dynasty data, including: Team stats (season and historical) Player stats and career totals Game results Standings and records Current Limitation There is no way to export or extract Dynasty data outside of the game. Impact Difficult to track long-term Dynasty history Prevents deeper analysis of teams, players, and schemes Limits community-driven content (spreadsheets, reports, etc.) Reduces long-term engagement For multi-team Dynasty players: Managing multiple programs across seasons is difficult without external tracking There is no way to build a full league history outside the game UI Why This Matters Dynasty mode is at its best when it creates long-term stories. Data export would enable: Custom stat tracking Historical record keeping Deeper immersion for simulation-style players Community-created tools and analysis Suggested Options Simple CSV export of: Rosters Season stats Game results Or a basic API / companion app integration Even a minimal export feature would provide significant value. 8. Why This Matters Overall Addressing these areas would: Improve offensive diversity Support more playstyles beyond spread systems Increase dynasty replay ability Allow authentic team and system recreation Enable long-term tracking and storytelling 9. Closing The foundation is already strong. The problem is prevalent. The lag is either you or the opponent. One team is super fast while the opponent is running super slow. EA has been aware of this for a while now and they either deny it and blame user internet. Or blatantly lie and claim no such issue has been reported. I would like to start this off by saying I love this game it is light years ahead of madden and the best football game that’s been made since ncaa 14 but I have a huge issue with road to glory! My issue is that you can only play 5 positions I dislike this greatly. I would love to be a OLB or a DE but it’s not an option and it just kills my motivation to put more hours into this game. I say let us play any position we want you have the capabilities to do so, why is it not an option. Hell if I want to be a kicker or an O Lineman I should have the capability to do! I just got a 94+ BND pack that offered me 2 players. One was a 98 Golden Tate Ultimate Alumni and the other a 95 lineman (didn’t pay attention because I wanted the Tate card). I clicked on Tate and the I got a SOTS animation and got a 96 either LG or RG (wasn’t paying attention that close because I was in shock like WTH, and either way I have a 98 LG and a 99 RG already and rushed thru to see if it actually screwed up). Give me my 98 Golden Tate. With all the problems we have dealt with this season between CUT26 and MUT26 between “server issues” (currently been 4 days long in MUT26) and others you guys need to make up the little things that you can where you can. So me and my brother made it to back to back playoffs in the first one we loaded in and us or the other team couldn’t choose a play use timeouts or anything so we got stuck getting delay of game and kicked us then counted as a loss so we were out of playoffs. Just now we got the loading screen glitch so I restarted after 15 minutes and back another loss towards us and kicked out again. I have game pass ultimate and played last night on cloud gaming but for some reason I cannot comprehend I now can't play at all. With the game saying that I can only play this trial version of the game on the account that downloaded it. I have only one account and nothing has changed on my end. Tried signing out and back in. Resetting my Xbox and my TV which I have my cloud gaming signed into. Nothing worked. After selecting CFB25 from my Xbox Home Screen, I get to the view with the players in the tunnel. The progress indicator dots move for a bit, then the game crashes and returns me to the Xbox Home Screen. I never get to Press Any Button or the EA bumper. I’ve reinstalled and reset my Xbox One S.
