- sgtPoulton3 years agoNew Veteran@Wargame_Enj0yer After numerous tries I managed to shoot down couple of little birds today but its because I caught them off-sight.
If people think it was really too easy to shoot down helis (or even jets, yes hello F35 hover-shooters) than vote for damage increase. It will be hard to hit but if you do damage wont be 20 or 25 lol - Shibiwan3 years agoRising Veteran

I wonder if DICE will do any fundamental balancing in the near future.
The FXM is broken and has problems hitting a Nightbird reliably. Hopefully the devs can fix it.

I've finally got T1 on all helos, and the littebird, while being my favorite, is by far the weakest. It's insane how weak that thing is now.

The problem with Lis is that the tgm is supposed to be vs both air and ground. Its literally impossible to balance that out without either nerfing heli maneuverability big time or making tgm super op vs ground. Its like trying to make someone be both the worlds fastest sprinter and the worls fastest marathon runner at the same time. It wont happen.
Saying they added skill to tgm vs air is wrong as the "skill" now is simply whether the heli pilot is skilled or not. Any skilled heli can and will dodge tgms all day long. However unskilled heli pilots who just float in the air are still easier targets but you could do the same with recoilless... In short its just luck based depending on who pilots your target.
Vs ground tgm will always be somewhat op as ground doesnt have the luxury helis got.
One solution could be the same as you have for Sundance. 2 versions of tgm. One with better maneuverability vs air that does 0 dmg vs ground vehicles and 1 with little maneuvaribility that does dmg vs ground but 0 vs air. Then balance in some switch timer.
Another solution may be to leave the tgm where it is vs air but increase the reload rate and nerf damage (make dps the same) vs ground. That way you can shoot vs air a little more often and maybe luck a shot in while you will need more tgms to take out a ground vehicle.
Of course a third solution is that Dice fix the fxm balance, do something about the constant lack of resupply options and makes the other engineers a viable option as well.
Not saying any of these is a definite fix but doing something new is way better than trying to make a square fit in a circle and a triangle at the same time.
As for people struggling with tanks camping with irish. Sniper rifle is your friend 😉

In Australia we have a few top tier Nightbird players who survive most of the round on conquest and rack up 50+ kills whenever they play.
