Re: Future date for Console cross play off
@JOGAGATYA wrote:Guys all i can say is that crossplay between consoles and PC is a HUGE issue. THE biggest issue the game has now. Any PS5 player, if you can, download and try to play the PS4 version. The evidence is there in the difference. I LOVE love love battlefield, but this the first time in 20 years I don't enjoy playing BF because how bad it is with crossplay on. Even PC players have no idea how good it COULD be.
Actually: can PC olayers find games with crossplay off? Does it feel better?
I can 100% confirm that crossplay off for PC is a better experience. Less lag, less spikes, etc. It will lag when an out of region player joins. For example I usually have a server side latency of 27 (as well as my ping). When other players join, it will go to 35. Still totally playable and fun. Suddenly it will go to 53 or more, and wicked lag sets in. It’s barely playable then. Hit reg is decent throughout, which it is not in crossplay. I need to point out that the crossplay off in PC only works in official portal experiences which will populate with bots until real players join. I can’t get an AOW round to start with the current pop. In a 32 player round in portal, I have not seen more than a dozen real players. The low pop and local region nature of the players is a contributing factor at minimum for the improvement. A true test would be a full breakthrough round with 128 PC players, which at this point is a unicorn. I’ll never see it.
