Re: Are people just stupid or do they not see marked enemies?

If you mean pinging, where the red flag marker appears, then it's just your squadmates who see that. However, if you're using the spot button or a spotting gadget, then the team will see the enemies on their min-maps at the very least.

@ElliotLH And even the manual pinging for squad mates is still bugged af! I often play with my two friends and usually one of them can see my pings and the other doesn’t, although he hears the sound of me pinging.

@RanzigeRidder2 @ElliotLH Oh! I knew it. What I often experience is that after I go down, I see my allies pinning all over the place. He was probably trying to mark the enemy who took him down and tell his squad, so he must have been putting up pins right after he was taken down. But obviously, the pin is not even sounding. I would like to see these areas made better, as they are the only means of communication other than spotting.

@Gurz1019_MP Yeah that's the one - I think there have been lots of occasions where I've had squadmates trying to warn me before I attempt a revive, but nothing appears and I end up getting shot 🙄.

Also, I find it weird how sometimes when I'm loading a match I hear multiple ping sounds.

@ElliotLH When I was concentrating on playing the shutdown, I once saw an enemy figure highlighted through the wall. What can I use to do this? As far as I know, the only time it appears this way is when I am using Rao and the passive is activated, but that should only be visible to Rao himself and I was using Zane at the time. Strangely enough, it only occurred once and I never saw it after that or in any other match. Some kind of injustice...?

@Gurz1019_MP People spamming the ping button drive me nuts! It does not work as you place and remove the ping so it's hard to see for the ones still alive, and the constant beeping is annoying af. Wait until the enemy is in 1 place, then ping him.

@ElliotLH I have the same, but at least that sound means you will enter an active server!

@RanzigeRidder2 The case for a series of pins is when an enemy who has defeated you is actively moving. The sound will tell you that they want you to defeat them.

@Gurz1019_MP Sounds interesting. Discounting someone on your team cheating and making a fairly sizeable guess, I wonder if someone else could have been using Rao and hacked a nearby enemy? I know this gives the outline for me when I do it as Rao, but I don't think I've seen what it looks like when a teammate has hacked someone.

I'm probably wrong about the above or experiencing spreadsheet madness, but it's the only thing coming to mind at the moment. Obviously if anyone knows otherwise, feel free to correct me as usual 😁

@Gurz1019_MP Yes I know, but if people frantically spam the ping button it is less effective. A few pings to update the location of the attacker suffices.

@ElliotLH Yes. I first considered the possibility of Rao, but as I recall, there was no Rao in the squad at that time. So does that mean that Rao, when hacked, can highlight the location of the hacked enemy only to his allies?

I tend to spam-ping when someone is coming to save me and an enemy is waiting close by. I always thaught that might warn people of the possible danger or trap, so they can either get rid of the enemy first or use some smoke for conceiling. It does not seem to always work though .

@Gurz1019_MP That's the bit I'm not sure of as I can't remember if the outlines are shown to the entire team when he hacks an enemy, or just to you.

It's a shame there wasn't time to grab a video as it might be easier to work out if it's a gadget/ability or someone being naughty.

@SharpGoblin If the enemy is waiting close by a single ping to mark his position should do, that is if people pay attention to their minimap, killfeed and surroundings, which is becoming more of a rarity these days.
Same goes for people using smoke for concealed revives.

I always ping once and wait for them to get killed because they didnt see my ping

@GrizzGolf As said that either has to do with the lack of game sense of the majority of players. You would think that players could figure out themselves that a died teammate might mean there's an enemy in the area so best would be not to rush in for a revive, but instead secure the area first.
And then there's the issue of the still broken ping system where your pings are not visible to certain squadmates.

I have more cases than I can count where my friends on discord say they pinged something and I cannot see it and vice versa
