We're looking into this, but we've heard this can happen more often if the game installed on an HDD instead of an SSD. If you have the game installed to an HDD, moving it to an SSD instead may help in the meantime.
Have the game running on SSD and load a save before entering the room with the Battery
I dont have a save before entering the room because i tried everything and the autosaves deleted saves before exploding the bomb
This happened to me as well, completely halted my progress.
To give more info, the power switching still works. I can change from 'lights' to 'shower' no problem, but the battery isn't there at all just like in OP's photo.
I had to put it on stand-by till a new patch comes out. stuck on chapter 2 and can't proceed further

This is still happening for me on PC. The power core won't spawn and I'm unable to progress in the game. I'm on an SSD.

One year later, yes, this is still happening.
Playing on Steam
Using Internal HDD
Issue occurred 09/01/2024
I have issues with some enemies being invisible for a few seconds every now and then, but that's all. This is the only major issue I had. And the worst part is, I had the battery. I was holding it with telekinesis. I drop it to fight, boom, battery goes missing.
I have no prior save.
