  • I bought Dead Space 3 on steam, and it won't launch. I updated all of my drivers, and ran a system file checker, unplugged every accessory except my monitor, my mouse, and my keyboard, redownloaded the game, and verified the integrity of the game files. When I try to launch the game, it gives me an application error: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005).

I linked my dxdiag as of this post.

The only thing I can think of is that my monitor is 2560x1440p

I would greatly appreciate if this could be fixed, given I paid money for a functional product.

    Thank you

@TacStrategist Same thing happens whenever I try to launch the game. Similar with DS2 only that no error message appears at all. Just crashes without even starting
