Re: Whats the point in Havking with Rao?

@wiccanring777 Rao is basically a glorified flyswatter. After you've hacked a vehicle they actually become designated for a while, I feel like a lot of people don't know that. So it's up to your teammates to follow up with rockets. After you've hacked a vehicle follow up with either SOFLAM or Tracer Dart for continuous vehicle harassment until you can hack again - that's the role of Rao. Don't expect to kill vehicles with him.

His actually hacking effect on vehicles is pretty pathetic now though; one of several ways devs had to appeal to unskilled crying pilots/tank campers.

Hacking groups of infantry at a distance to spot them and gain easy xp is pretty funny though (even through smoke grenades), it's useful against gadgets like Boris turret and Ranger dogs too, and his passive ability is quite good, but he's basically a shell of what he used to be (especially when he could equip a Stinger).

If being an annoying flyswatter is what a player likes to be the Rao is ideal, you just have to hope teammates have rockets ready to take advantage of the vehicle designations.

There's not much point.  Sure it'll add some pressure, but it'll only slightly slow down experienced pilots - it's not going to stop the farm.

It's ineffective, you're likely to get shot while distracted and worst of all it's terribly boring.  For anti-air you're better off spamming Lissiles and stingers.

The only scenario where I found it consistently useful is when you can hack an enemy heli engaged in a dog fight.
