You could try running both games in Administrator mode. There's a guide in the sticky thread "How to run older Command & Conquer titles on Windows 8.1" at the top of the forum.

same * here we got 2 ultimate collection and the only game that work on lan is general and zh all other are not working so the one that see the other is probably the stand alone ultimate is only to suck money out of you 😉
