DS3 on xbox 360 - kinect issues

I've inserted my disc and all - everything's fine, but no Kinect support and the area for the Kinect settings is blacked out. All my other titles, such as ME3 work perfectly, so it's not a hardware or settings on my console problem.

I am in South Africa - is it possible we are region locked on voice command? After trying to get help locally I've found that everyone here has the same problem.

I have the same issue, and it was not resolved after an hour on the live chat either, but my kinect is working, but once i enter the game all the kinect options are greyed out and it goes non-responsive ☹️

Whoa, I am having the exact same problem. I've spoken to 2 game advisors in less than a day trying to get my head around this issue, but it still persists. And I have no idea what to do! The Kinect option is totally greyed-out, but my Kinect works perfectly fine otherwise.

So I've finally found a solution to the Kinect problem, guys.

I really went through a bunch of unnecessary running around, but the answer was SO simple. 

When setting up the 'voice recognition' on XBOX,  the entire process is carried out until at the end of all the tests, an error message pops up stating something along the lines of: 'Voice recognition is not supported'. 

I searched this issue and found out that what needs to be done is go to Settings/Sytem Settings > Console Settings > Language and Locale. Once at this stage, simply change your country to United States, and the voice recognition works perfectly. c:

Hope this works for everyone else out there with this problem, because I know what a pain it can be. 

My game doesn't detect kinect or even lets me use it or configure it. please help.
