Re: Talent and item names in Awakening

Hello Squallhowl,

I experienced the same problem with wrong item declarations and have found a solution that at least worked for me, though I'm using the Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition (DA: UE) as a download version via Origin.

One word of warning in advance: I cannot, of course, guarantee that this solution will work and I don't know if the first step (changing the language of the Origin game browser) may affect the functionality of other games. So consider trying this solution at your own risk.

1) I uninstalled DA: UE, changed the language of Origin (the game browser) from German to English GB and reinstalled/redownloaded  DA:UE

2) After launching the game, I realized that the additional DLCs and the add-on Awakening had not been installed along with the main game.  I then patched the game to version 1.05 using the latest patch. After patching, DA would not start (an  error message appeared), so I restarted Origin which lead to the automatic download of all DLCs and the add-on Awakening. (maybe you have to issue Origin to search for updates for DA)

3) Now I had to apply patch  1.05 again, restart Origin, let the it check for Updates for DA:UE so that the game would start (otherwise the same error as mentioned in step 2 would appear) and now finally all item names  are correct and all DLCs work fine, the language is English, changing the language via the DAOriginsConfig, however,  is not possible anymore (only English is available).

I hope this solution may work for you as well as for others who might read this.

Greetings,

Dranador

This solution worked well for me! Developers, pay attention on this bug, not the first time in origin I see it!
