Minimum*:

  • OS: Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit
  • CPU: AMD quad core CPU @ 2.5 GHz; Intel quad core CPU @ 2.0 GHz
  • System RAM: 4 GB
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 4870; NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

  • Hard Drive: 26 GB
  • DirectX: 10

  • Your CPU meets minimum but not the recommended (which is 3 GHz)

System Ram is recommended 8 but 4 meets minimum

I think that graphics card is the same (meeting minimum but not recommended).

Hard Drive is a bit low.

Problem is that in order for this game to run smoothly, you need a system with well above recommended on all fronts. Minimum dosen't seem to cut it.

  • @PokerC I want to keep bashing, lol, trust me....but I was in a debate with these snarky elitist jerks who were saying that the HD 6800 series GPU's were actually LESS powerful than the HD 4870...something about the last two numbers in the ID 68-00 and 48-70 having some designation. Now they have me scratching my head. I tried to search Tom's Hardware about the issue and I cannot even FIND my card in there...

I know the game is wonky but I am trying to eliminate anything on my end...also trying to help the gajillions of people with the same or similar set ups as mine to find some answers...

@8half...I have a 6 core 3.4 Ghz CPU so I am gtg there. I think Poker was just listing minimum specs. Mine are:

    CPU: AMD FX 6100 6 core@ 3.4 Ghz

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series ~1 GB

    RAM: 8 GB

It isn't the best rig but it's not outdated enough to justify replacement yet. It plays everything else just fine, even on high settings in some cases, though the fps can get a little crappy.

I cannot for the life of me see why I can only play the game on the very lowest settings and then still crash regularly, like every 5 minutes.

nah not silly...not compared to me. I am lost on some tech specs lately. Thanks for trying to help....more than BW is doing. Thanks for the link too...

I am just hoping I can grab a better GPU w/o breaking the bank

I thought the 6800 was an NVidea card anyway... silly me

    Check the benchmarks: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+6800M

    You need a bettr GPU

There is no such thing as an HD "6800" without the final "30", "50". and "70" differentiation, of the three, the only 6830 I could find was a mobile card.  It would probably not be useful.  For desktop GPUs in the series, the HD 6850 should be good, and the HD 6870 should be better than the 6850.

Eight years ago, in the Dx9 era, with Shader 2 only, nVIDIA sold 6800 SE, 6800 GT, and 6800 Ultra GPUs back before the 7000s were released.

@aslifalanderler Will depend on WHICH 6700 video card you have. If you have something like a 6790 then you should be ok, but if you have something like a 6750, then maybe not, especially if it is a mobile version. Now this is for min specs, so keep that in mind, but that is an old card line, so maybe but no way to tell as Gorath pointed out without more info on which card you are talking about. I give you about a 80% chance of it working as long as it isn't the mobile(laptop built in) version.
