Re: Specialization class unlocked without quest?
Have you played the game before? I believe that if the specialization has been granted in a previous playthrough, you have access to it in all new runs on the same profile.

Indeed, I've had a first playthrough before, but it was a quick one.
I've played before, with a rogue until the first specialization; the Duelist. I did visited Brecilian Forest, with the rogue character, but I didn't get to do any quest.
