Re: Witch Hunt DR Bug

Wow!  I have the opposite problem.  When I import my DAO post-Epilogue saves into Awakening, when I get to WH  the game acts as if my Warden's romance with Morri *did* end, when it most definitely did not.

(Maybe we should trade .das files?)

Anyway, I'm still trying to investigate a solution all these many, many years and playthoughs later, and haven't found one.  So if the plot-/relationship-status flags get set wrong during DAA initialization, (As they do. Consistently.) I can't figure out how to fix it.  😞

I might have explained myself poorly, or i am misunderstanding, but i think we are describing the same problem.(except if you aren't getting the dark-haired sorceress Awakening epilogue)
Morrigan says that i denied her in Redcliffe during the last convo of the dlc.I haven't ofc.I just want to see my demon baby ☹️
I thought this bug was supposed to be fixed years ago.

  • Well, now I may be the one misunderstanding.

Across literally dozens of complete playthroughs (DAO==> DAA ==> GoA ==> WH) I've never had the game fail to recognize that the DR was performed.  That plot flag has always been recorded correctly.

But... (with one exception, which still baffles me) I've never been able to reach the Eluvian in WH and have the proper Relationship_Status of IN_LOVE still set.  I get the "FRIEND" responses from Morri every time.  And unless she's still IN_LOVE, she won't allow the Warden to follow her.

I'm convinced that there is a single value in the .das file that's wrong.  And using the Toolset (or pyGFF editor) I should be able to fix it.  I just don't know the variable to adjust!  ☹️

    EDIT:

I have heard that any "Post-Epilogue" save has all the plot flags set to the BioWare defaults.  And no, BioWare never produced a patch to fix this so during the character import to DAA you get the vanilla ones.

I've tried using my "Post-Coronation" save instead, but wasn't rigorous enough in my testing to be sure my results were valid.  So hard to get work-up for another go at all three DLC just to check something at the very, very end.]

In that case,we actually might indeed have the opposite problem, since i can go through the Eluvian.

It's the Dark Ritual that is not getting recognized.

I came across the toolset myself recently, but i don't know anything either :/ Wish we could find someone who did.

I've been also recommended to use the runscript zz_str_morrigan command by a really helpful person over at the Dragon Age Wiki, but to no avail.

For some reason it  doesn't seem to affect the flags in my save, with the exception of the ring one.And this has really driven me insane 😢

Even though we can set the World State correctly in the Dragon Age Keep,it still bothers me.A lot.

I just desire a perfect save with both the Dark Ritual and the Romance being recognized, after having finished Awakening and Amgarrak...

Do i have OCD?Just this once...

    Why,Bioware?

I haven't really found a clear answer myself.

A trick to render the romance active again though ,seems to be to hold on to the golden mirror, until before the Archdemon fight, and then give it to Morrigan, which will render the romance active again. This way,you can watch the ring epilogue in Origins, but by importing this pre-epilogue save(or whichever non-camp one) to Awakening ,you won't have a problem with the flags resetting. That is my understanding at least.

I'll give it a try after my Inquisition run. It's not like i needed another excuse to play DA:O anyhow🙂
