I had the problem with the investigate corpses part. I could not click on anything where I was meant to. I had to go down that lift, then I got stuck there and realised that really must be a bug, so went back via quick travel to that point nearby. That meant the area reloaded and then it worked.

I am playing on PC so this investigate corpses but must be quite serious if we both got it on different platforms.
