Re: Dragon Age Inquisition can't start, need update(can't update)
First try making sure you run Origin as administrator, if that doesn't work try clearing the cache:
Clearing your cache, or your Origin client temporary files, can sometimes help fix downloading or installation issues, like in cases where your game has downloaded partially but then become corrupted, or if there are folder permission issues blocking incoming data.
If you've purchased a game or in-game content and it's not showing up in Origin, or if a game is in your My Games list but doesn't launch correctly, clearing your cache might just do the trick.
If you're on a Windows computer:
- Make sure your Origin client is completely closed.
- Do this by clicking Origin in the menu bar then selecting Exit.
- Head to your C: drive by clicking the Start or Window button on your desktop and selecting My Computer.
- Find and delete the "Origin"folders found in each of the following:
- These folders are hidden by default, so you'll need to un-hide them by Showing Hidden Files to be able to delete them.
- Open each folder by finding then double-clicking it.
- C:\ProgramData\
- On Windows XP, the ProgramData folder is located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application data\Electronic Arts\.
- C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\
- C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\
- C:\ProgramData\
- Empty your Recycle Bin and you're done.
