Hakkon's Mercy dagger freezes game

For no apparent reason, whenever I attempt to craft this weapon or view it in the inventory, my game siezes up and I have to close it through task manager.

Any idea what I can do to resolve this or what the problem is? My graphics settings are on max, and nothing like this has happened to me before with this game.
