You can't renew your Origin EA Play subscription via Steam as they are different versions.
Therefore the EA Play version on Steam and Origin have different offers that differ per platform and cloud saves, for example, won't carry over to Steam.
The "Play List", ak your EA Play game list is only available in Steam if you have the EA Play subscription on Steam.
Some games still need Origin or EA Desktop (I don't know how reliable that works on EA Desktop due to it being still a Beta.) to be played, but that depends on the game.
If you start the Game in Steam it should automatically open Origin/EA Desktop (or prompt you to install it) so you can link the Steam and EA Accounts.
