Re: Dragon Age Inquisition lagging and freezing, bad audio

I can't thank you enough for all of your help!

At this point I'd say we are about 75% better? I was able to do a bit of moving around, but there is still a lot of lagging when talking to characters and at the inquisition table. I can actually move around now though and that's something! I haven't dared to try any thing further.

Any suggestions on what can be done next? I find it interesting that when I check in on the Intel website, Microsoft Etc everything says my drivers are up to date but they're very clearly not 😅

MS will only provide new drivers if the manufacture of your device allows it.

Closing all background applications you don't need wile playing.

Other than that, it's hard to say because I don't know much about your system.
Systems bloat over time if your OS is a few years old a fresh installation of Windows might help. (Make sure you get the newest possible drivers from the manufactures website.)

I wanted to follow up on this thread to see if you're still experiencing issues with the game. If you need any further assistance, please let us know!

    Thanks!

  • Hi there, thank you so much for following up. While things are working a lot better and I'm able to move around in game I am still experiencing the same problems as before.

I am guaranteed issues if I go to the war table. It's an automatic tell when the game will lag because the sound will start getting static through the speakers, and then the game will lag really badly. Eventually it seems to catch up with itself and goes back to normal but it always ends up doing it again a little bit later.

Definitely a huge Improvement since updating my drivers, but I am fairly certain that when my laptop was at the repair place, Microsoft was reinstalled only last year and I barely used the laptop since then so I don't think it should be bloated. By barely used I mean I've literally played Dragon Age Inquisition on a handful of times and that is all. It played perfectly fine until just recently.

I usually play with my Xbox controller connected to a USB port on the pc, I tried without to see if it was causing the issue but I still experience some lag. I'm just about to hook it up again to see if there's a difference.

I took a small clip of video with my phone while playing, not sure if it's at all helpful but if it is let me know and I can share it with you.
