Thats a bit of a strange policy having to have it seperate for the desktop app and origin but ok.

No I've not downloaded any trials for BF1. Might it have gotten confused when I had ea play previously through origin (not game pass) and thinks it upgraded me to legendary edition or whatever it's called.

On origin, there's no timer. Guess I'll find out when I use the 15 minutes up 😬

Hey @Murray667 it would be considered cross-platform as your membership is through Game Pass which includes EA Play on EA Desktop, it doesn't grant access to EA Play through Origin. To be an EA Play member on Origin you would need to sign up.

If you'll take some feedback about this, this does seem rather silly. It's cross-platform anyways if you're using the EA Desktop app, since it's on a desktop. In my case, I was subscribed to EA Play through Origin and now that Game Pass Ultimate includes EA Play, I un-subbed and have to move everything to EA Desktop to play my games. Very unfortunate. I don't understand why it's been implemented this way. 

If it's because of a catalog difference, I suggest allowing people that already have established Origin libraries to access games included in EA Play/GamePass through Origin, and just lock whatever's not included. OR, allow for EA Play to detect games already installed through Origin so that we don't need to fool around with redownloading or re-locating files. 

Overall, I'm happy about the merging of EA Play and Game Pass, and hope to see things like this improve going forward. 

Hey @Issaaxoxo if receiving EA Play through Game Pass Ultimate then you can only access the EA games through EA Desktop.

If you check my post above you will see that I mention that Game Pass Ultimate members get access to EA Play games on PC through EA Desktop.

what happens when you can't install the ea app? no matter what I do made a new username on the pc deleted caches resets you name it I did it a hundred times over and yet ea play app just keep telling me to go * myself, so again, why is this app on the pc when it clearly doesn't work? oh and I am well above recommended specs with plenty of HD space, so if you could let me know what I am doing wrong unlike the something went wrong message I'd greatly appreciate it as none of this make sense and I hate ea more and more every single day this continues.

Please try the troubleshooting in the accepted solution and leave a reply there if it doesn't work. 

it's false advertising.... call it something else.. when I look at command and conquer ultimate edition its advertised as being included with EA Play... I have EA Play through game pass... yet I cant download it until I get a different EA Play? if they are two different subscriptions may I suggest a different name.....

Did you find a way to fix this? I am also trying to get command and conquer ultimate edition with game pass EA play.

Could you share a screenshot where Command & Conquer is advertised as being part of EA Play and a screenshot that shows it isn't available to you?

And I absolutely have EA play through xbox game pass.

Ah yes you will have access to EA Play through the Game Pass, but this is only through the EA app and not through Origin @SaintAils.

When you log into the EA account that has the EA Play subscription then you should be able to download and play the games included in EA Play.

Yes yes yes two different things bla bla. But EA App is in such a bad condition. Stops working on a regular basis, pauses at 100% download without the possibility to resume. Not even a *** download limiter?! This is nothing more than an alpha! 

And with those issues we are NOT able to play the games!

In fact, in EA app you can't use the "friend pass" in It takes two, in example. The game is included in the Game Pass and can be played in EA Play but you can't invite friends if you play the game through EA app.

If you invite friends through Origin you can play without problems (well, you can't use Game Pass and you MUST PURCHASE THE GAME).

I 100% agree with you, but I also wouldn't call Origin "stable", just more stable than EA Desktop. EA Desktop is the BF 5 of the game app world, buggy useless mess with a shiny coat of paint, and we GamePass users are forced to use it.

how do i add my bf3 prmium to origin game library. i have the xbox game pass and bf3 premium downloaded along with the ea game pass. whenever i launch the game origin says it needs to be added to their library and wants a product code but i do not have one where the game is through game pass 

EA Play really should be usable on either the EA App or Origin, I am having an issue currently where I can't even download a game from EA Play on the EA App because of an entitlement error where it says I own a game that I don't and won't let me download because of it only with the EA app, the game doesn't appear on Origin at all, but I can't use EA Play on Origin.
