I guess not. I have the game pass for console (the basic $10/month subscription). I looked it up and I guess that doesn’t include Xbox live gold. But I can play other games online like COD Warzone. Supposedly some free games like that don’t require an Xbox live gold subscription. Sounds like I need to upgrade my plan if I wanna play online…
Community ManagerHey @GatorSausage420 certain free-to-play games and game modes don't require Xbox Live but the vast majority do.
Only Game Pass ultimate includes Xbox Live, so it may be worth looking at Game Pass Ultimate it's cheaper than having both subs separate: https://www.xbox.com/en-IE/xbox-game-pass#join

Same problem as the thread poster.
Currently have xbox core, that includes xbox gold membership.
Purchased this due to a good offer on a sale on the xbox store.
Getting a pop up about joining xbox ultimate and booted back to title screen.
