Summarize your bug  unable to launch the game in the EA App.The issue it reports is that the game won't load "due to an error on our side and to try again later".
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? launching the Sims game in the EA App after recent update?
What happens when the bug occurs? nothing. .
What do you expect to see? the game to load hopefully ☹️

I updated Sims 4 today and purchased the new stuff pack and ktis - poolside splash kit, modern luxe kit and home chef hustle stuff pack - and i've been unable to launch the game in the EA App. I've tried force closing the app and EA services via task manager, repairing the game via the app, restarting the pc and tried to move the game files from the original path but it won't let me move the files elsewhere. I know it isn't the pc or my account as I've managed to load another game via the EA App without any issues, and it just seems to be Sims 4 that I can't seem to load. The issue it reports is that the game won't load "due to an error on our side and to try again later".

any further help or info would be appreciated as i've summitted the error twice on the ea app trying to initially get to this stage and reporting the bug on the forum - not much of a forum person 😞

  • I've also tried the file movement fix that i've seen on a few messages on here where i've moved the sims 4 file to my desktop but then the app thinks I no longer have the game installed on the pc at all - i've since moved the files back the EA file on my pc and the EA App recognises the game is installed again and I'm currently running the repair files option again to see that if moving the files back and forth could fix something? 

    edit: didn't work.

    Did you try running game repair and deleting game cache if this do not solve the issue i would suggest contacting ea help via the ea help chat and they might guide you

    I've just tried these now and unfortunately didn't work - i'll try the help chat. fingers crossed ! 

    edit: i'm unable to contact them as their online chat system doesn't seem to be working at it's best? i'm unable to get to a point where i can talk to anyone..

    situation seemingly fixed itself?? lost my save file tho
