Re: Achievement notifications minimizes game

Is there a way top turn off achievement notifications on EA play / access or whatever is included in game pass because whenever I get an achievement it minimizes the game which makes it unplayable for games that dont auto pause when minimized. I know how to turn it off in origin but not in the beta ea app or whatever its called.

Edit : I have turned off all the notifications settings I can find on the setting tabs even tho none of them specifically mentions achievements but I am still getting them.

    Hey @GeovaneRRMM, @httpRon, 

    Judging by the available Notification options for the EA app, there indeed doesn't seem to be an option to disable Achievement notifications.

    However, this is good feedback. The EA app is still in development and therefore it's quite normal that it doesn't have all features yet that Origin has, for example.

    @EA_Leeuw This is still an issue, any chance yall worked on fixing this absolutly massive imersion and game breaking problem yet, or do you guys just not care.

    Hey @Boyblackout,

    Thanks for your feedback on this topic.

    I personally don't really understand how a notification can be game-breaking. Is it crashing a game for you? If so, I'd be happy to walk you through some troubleshooting steps.

    However, I can understand that it can take away some of the immersion while playing a game, especially if you play it in full-screen mode.

    As mentioned, the feedback regarding this has been passed on to the EA app teams. Sadly, that is all we can do via the forums.

    Yes, Every time I get a notification the game minimizes, and in Titanfall 2 ( the only game I currently play using the EA play app) this crashes the game. This means every time I do just about any important story bit, I must restart my game, I had this issue in Battle Feild 5 when I played it too. Even running mods doesn't help in titanfall 2, the game still gifts achievements.

    Have you tried to play the game in borderless window mode, to see if you still experience the issue?

    @EA_Leeuw No, Titanfall 2 doesn't have a native setting for anything but Fullscreen, and forcing it using mods or manipulation only brings more issues. Sorry for the late response, college has been rough.

    @Boyblackout, don't apologise for the late response! It's one of the busiest times of the year. 🙂

    It does have support for windowed mode though, maybe that helps?

    @NightWinders, I actually do use it myself, but that's maybe because I have a 21:9 Ultrawide...

    What about NFS 2015 exactly?

    @EA_Leeuwwhen i get an achievement, it just minimises the game, i dont personally like the normal windowed, cuz it looks stupid and awful, i mostly just use borderless, but i guess in 2015 there isnt, which is disappointing and quite annoying

    @EA_Leeuw I've died twice now in Jedi Fallen Order because an achievement pops up in the middle of a fight and my controller doesn't work until I focus on the window again with the keyboard/mouse. I don't even care about the achievements just let me turn them off at least. So incredibly annoying.

    Hey @DDrifter991, yeah I can understand it is getting annoying, especially when it can lead to some in-game deaths. Not pleasant.

    Still and issue and even worse now it breaks my entire desktop!!! Anytime a notification happens my mouse stops responding!!! At that point my game is out of focus and I die and I cant even use my mouse once the game is closed!!! I have to relog to fix my mouse!! EA what is going on and NO borderless and windowed is NOT AN ACCEPTABLE ANSWER! We need this fixed TODAY like what are EA devs being paid to do!!!

    Hey @Sycho_Sid,

    Putting games (that support these modes) in borderless, windowed fullscreen or windowed, is indeed a workaround that should solve this issue for the time being, until the EA app teams come up with a fix.
