Re: How to fix EA app Error Code EC:105?

I can't help but notice that I updated the EA app earlier and now it's magically doing this. Many of these replies are from yesterday. Is it possible it's a problem on the EA server's end?

When I open the app, I get told "Couldn't connect to servers." When I go offline, and then go online again, I get the EC:105. Restart the app. Process begins again.

    I wanted to play dead space remake using epic game store but i needed ea's app so i downloaded it, after finishing installation i launched it, got the 'look at that your back online' message then 'restart the app to access online features' with the error code 105

    so i tried the solution of clicking 'repair' in the install process and it didnt work, rebooted computer, closed programs in taskbar, closed process in task manager, nothing worked

    Im 35 years old and ive never had a bug like this in my life  that i just cant fix

    Now im unable to play my game because of ea tech team's incompetence.

    I feel so mad!

  • @FurnyQC Update: Solution:

    step1: from the desktop task bar(lower right side of the screen), i had 2 hidden ea play icon, on one of them i right clicked "log out" and the second i clicked "exit"

    step2: went back to my downloads folder, launched the ea app installer and i clicked "repair"

    after the whole repair process, ea app just launched itself normally with a message saying that my "membership has expired" i dont know if its refering to some sort of inactivity from me or if its refering to a ea play membership, but if its refering to a ea play expitation i dont even remember ever subscribing to that :/
  • @FurnyQC to be honest Ive only made this post because i thought EA was going to help me fix it because this is where the rabbit hole sent me. I normally can fix everything myself but to have a request for help and not be EA to me is even worse when it comes to company standing. No offense to anyone who is helping I appreciate all the advice and possibilities. Ya’ll are awesome people for helping.
    I just didn’t get to where EA themselves said hey we know issues here are ways to fix it or we are attempting to fix this for the future.

    I see that this is an old error, and I used to get it a lot with my old antivirus software. I changed the antivirus software ages ago and everything has worked brilliantly until now, before you ask, I have checked my antivirus software for changes to accessibility. I have restarted the app, cleared cache, scanned my pc, cleared game cache, basically have done everything a general user should (or one who knows how to search for fixes even though they are not an IT professional). Sims 4 player here and the Gallery access has gone to S##T.

    I resolved it by going back into windowed screen instead of full screen. A bit gutted as the last Sims 4 patch enabled DX11 users to return to full screen and use the window's button to minimise. At least the EA App no longer crashes in the background and I can access the gallery once more.

    I just started getting this error was well in 2025. The only time I ever get it is when I open the gallery - so annoying since I was JUST starting a new legacy and want to fill the empty lots. Guess my Sim will have to meet the OG townies until they actually fix this.
