Using ps4 controller but showing xbox buttons

Hi @EA_Illium ,

So I have went through those steps provided, so that Steam recognizes the controller as a PS4 controller and in Steam, it gives me prompts in playstation buttons, but in the game it still shows xbox button/controller layout.  I am able to use my PS4 controller with the associated positions (x-a, triangle-y, etc.) but it would be nice to have the game also display the hints/tips with playstation buttons instead of xbox buttons.  Is there a way to "force" It Takes Two to recognize this?

I found a solution that worked for me :
Open steam and go to library
Right click on apex legends
Go to properties
Click on controller
And a drop down will appear and select the option "disable steam input"

Mine does the same, except I'm using an Xbox controller and it shows ps4 buttons...

somehow doing that literally disables the input and my controller doesnt work anymore

So I did what they suggested and right clicked on the game, went to properties, went to controller but instead of disabling I used controller configurator and was able to fix my problem and there's a lot of options so you can probably find the solution to your there. I did community layouts when I clicked on the controller.
