Re: Game installation 'something went haywire'

Restarted the app and now the error has gone full-circle. Dead Space (2023) no longer appears on the 'Installed Games' list and the app prompts me to re-download even though the game is installed on my machine.

Huge waste of a day messing around on this.

Guys.. the plot thickens... it looks like when I reinstalled the game it has somehow become corrupted.

This means I cannot uninstall this game (which I can't launch on the EA app) in the normal way.

I really need some help here.

@welshmandan8  I don't think I can help with the original issue beyond suggesting you check your antivirus to see whether it's flagged the game in some way.  Maybe someone else will have a suggestion on that front.  But for uninstalling, download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and point it at Dead Space.  Make sure to go through the list of files and folders it finds in case you want to preserve a save.

Thanks for your advice mate, managed to uninstall it in the end.

Had to redownload and install again then it worked fine for a few days... now it's bugged out again and I'm facing the original issue AGAIN.

Something is really wrong here. So frustrating.... and nothing from EA I see. Fantastic service guys.

@welshmandan8  That sounds like it might be an antivirus issue, so I'd start looking there.  If that's not it, perhaps you use a cleaner app that's flagging some essential file as a duplicate and deleting it.
