Hello all,

This issue is now under investigation. However, for the teams to properly look into the issue, could you please use the EA app Error Reporter and post the generated Report ID here in the thread? 

Please also add when exactly the issue started for you.

  • I am getting the same thing; I was playing dragon age inquisition most of the day yesterday got off to deal with some stuff and when I got back to load the game up it just sticks on launching game closes itself out then tries again in a loop until I end task on it all.

    Having the same issues aswell Ive tried all the steps and game will not launch

  • How is this a solution? The game does not run and 11 pages of people saying it does not run and posting error reports and nothing is done. Been going on for months, this thread started early this year!!.

    I had the game working this morning July 25, 2024, now EA app crashes.

    i have tried all possible solutions in this thread. my EA app launches but my library does not load right away. if the library ever does load and i try to download a game, it is stuck on "preparing" until cancelled. my EA report ID: 219d0869-9329-4b38-abbf-dce3e4c2836a

  • Library of games tiles do not populate initially. I can make them re-appear if I go Offline within the EA App and then go back to Online. Once the tiles populate, of which I only own Sims 4, the only option I have is to Download. I have tried downloading off and on since this issue first appeared on July 19th when the EA App forced me to update (I had no other option). My files are still in the same directory. I have tried downloading to a different location (C: drive and it is not removable). I have removed mods. I have cleared the cache. I have scanned for viruses and malware. I have restarted multiple times. I have attempted to start from a cold boot but EA Background Services would not work in that environment. I had only just purchased Seasons DLC perhaps the week prior and I had barely enjoyed the (new-to-me) content.

    I haven't been able to play Sims 4 since July 19th. I have come to the conclusion that I will not purchase anything else from EA if the EA App is going to be a hindrance to playing any game I foolishly paid for. I also updated the EA App today (08-08-2024) to version 13.269.0.5782. No changes. Game tiles do not populate unless I go Offline and I still can't play a game.

    Since last EA app update , when i am in offline mode , I can't lunch the game
    I open the EA app in offline mode, the app doesn't recognize the installed game so i click on FC24 icon on desktop but it stuck on "Preparing Game" i wait for 10 min and still nothing!
    it happened after EA app lasted update!

    Please fix it asap!

    • I Clear the cache for the EA app

      Run the EA app as an administrator

      Reinstall the EA app

      change the User Access Control setting

    but nothing work!



    EA app have worst offline mode ,other app have way better offline mode!!!
    I miss Origin offline mode where you can see the game icons ,do command on the game and login in to origin in offline mode by username and password ( i have 2 account with my brother but we can change account in offline)

  • Updated EA app to version 13.280.0.5793 on 8/22/2024 but did not load the app. Waited a day and then gave it a go. Successfully launched, splash page displayed in full, Sims 4 showed as installed. When going to my Library it would show the Sims 4 but that it was taking "a little longer than usual..." I could not launch the game. Closed the app and restarted it. Proceeded to close and launch the app three times as it would have connection issues. Finally a crash that resulted in a report going out. Closed and launch another 3-4 times with the EA app showing different states of being unable to completely show the login screen or the landing page once it managed to. I finally left the splash page to try to finish but it remains at "taking a little longer..." for 15 minutes. I'll try again another time.

    EA App is the most regressive thing to punish your customers. I know not everyone is having this issue but you have so many people who have paid hard-earned money (or received as gifts) for these games cannot not enjoy the games.

    EDIT to my original post, I managed to fix spore. I had it on steam and copied over missing files the error told me i was missing. Now, the only thing that i cannot play is The Sims 4. tried the same hack i did with steam and it wont work. pretty bad i had to buy spore again just to fix it. 

    no matter what i do, the sims 4 will not load. I have reset cash, deleted and reinstalled the app, deleted reinstalled sims 4, i have run EA app as admin, run the sims as admin, added the sims to security exclusions and the sims to security exclusions, i have restarted my pc, turned off my wifi and nothing works.

    When i hit play, the app loads then disappears, loads and pops back up. if i try to open the game from the EA folder, it says preparing game then just opens the EA app.

    Funny thing is, when i switch the language to German, the game loads and everything perfectly but NOT in english at all.
