Re: [INVESTIGATION] Games Stuck on "Launching Game" or "Preparing Game"

I was asked by EA Help to post this to the forum, and so here I am.  For almost three weeks, "The Sims 4" will not launch.  The EA app comes up, informs me it is preparing the game, and the game never launches.  Ever.  No error message.  Just nothing.  I have spent hours troubleshooting with EA Help and performing "maybe this time!" fixes to my computer, and nothing seems to have worked at all.  I cleared the EA app's cache.  I uninstalled it, including deleting the registers, and reinstalled it.  I updated my BIOS and my version of Windows.  I have changed my antivirus software TWICE just in case that was messing stuff up.  EA Help has taken control of my computer and changed settings and run scans.  Absolutely nothing has made any difference (but it is sucking the life out of me). I never had trouble launching "The Sims" until EA took over from Origin, and now this it like the fourth major issue I've had, but I've never before had one go on this long.

Fingers crossed.  Once again I have been told just to sit and be patient while EA gets around to figuring out what's wrong with the game I have poured tons of money into, but cannot play because we don't own things anymore.; you just borrow them for a while from whomever owns the license at the moment.

    @carlyinrome  To cover a number of possibilities at once, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing there.  The account must be local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account.  You won't need to reinstall anything; just open the EA App and try to launch Sims 4 from there.  Let me know whether it works.
