They actually are women's models. When they bounce they clearly have female bodies due to where they jiggle.

Extremely limited namepool for youth academy players, sometimes only 1 surname per country.

What's the point of adding all those countries to scout from when all the players have the exact same surnames?

This needs to be fixed asap, it is annoying and immersion-breaking.

At least give us the option to manually edit YA player names if expanding the namepool is too much to ask for.

They don't have to look like kids. I'll accept it it's the adult model you get, but make it look somewhat good. There must be a number of presets that are curated by someone to go in a pool where the game selects from. These are all randomly generated and look terrible 90% of the time..

Its harrassing to find the youth tournament in career mode which none of us is interested.

Anyone has find a way to disable it?

And we need much more names for the youth players. Some countries only have 1 surname. And the bigger nations like Brazil need an update. Don’t want to have another Edson Reis. Why we don’t have names like cléber menezes, Iago Caldeira or Hélder Botelho anymore ?!

That’s a really nice post and speak out of my soul. And it isn’t only the small name pool for the new countries, we need updates for the old ones. France and Brazil have for example the same players for years. Don’t want to have Edson Reis or Henri Baron anymore. Give us names like Dembélé our double names like Le Tallec!!!! EA can give all the social feed more different names. Why they don’t do it in career?!

Speak for yourself mate. I find it to be a welcome new addition. Wouldn't mind it, if it could be disabled though.

You can ignore it, I accidentally simmed on too far and missed one.

It's such a mess... Is it really that hard to just go on Forebears and add names to the pool or have ChatGPT spit out 500 names for each country or whatever

The Youth Academy system is pointless the way it is now when almost every player has identical names. YA is by far my favourite feature in careeer mode, just sad man

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. When I look back at my careers, there was always a youth player who really put benchmarks on every save! It’s the best to develope them from the the bottom! This is the reason why it’s so sad that we have so less national teams too! Some players will never play a World Cup at this moment. But let’s get back to the names. How good would it be, when we have more and better youth names. Think about a France player called for example Thimothée Dembélé and not Henri Baron?! 

It really is amazing how EA functions both specific to this game and accross the company. When they actually add something good one place, they cannot capitlilize on it to its full potential. They do things like use Frostibe to share assets and save costs, but does it actually make games better or allow assets to be similar in games? Looking at the new things in career mode and at other EA games it gives good examples how EA can't help but mess things up. 

Add all these countries to scout, goood well done, something people have wanted for a long time. But, cannot update the name pools so everyone is almost the same. You say this is too hard to do how can they actually have different names. And yet EA already solved this in College Football by generating names with AI. Why was this not sharred with FC?

Continuing, FC is going to create faces for youngsters using the new cranium technology. Cranium does work well and you can see lots of videos about character creation. But do the youth players they've created in academy look good and compare to actual teenagers? I would say no. Why did they fail here? You know what would solve this? Let us edit the faces!

Going further about the youth players and academy. Do they actually replecate how football teams use acadamies? I can now scout San Marino, Somalia and Tonga. Great right? Now ask me what football club scout these places for youth players? No one? Why is that? Maybe because the cost and time of going to those places outpaces the value, or the fact that you cannot legally register a youth player from those places most of the time. Isn't the point of careeer mode to replecate real football? So the fact that most youth teams are made up of local kis and not players from the four corners of the world maybe should come into consideration? 

I start a career in Norway and find it costs me 300k to scout in Norway but 15,000 to scout Senegal or Mongolia. What kind of sense does this make? Why even have budgets for scouting if you are going to mess them up so much? 

Why they can put so many good and different names into the social feeds but not into youth academy ?! That totally kills the fun!!!

I actually like the youth tournaments. No pressure way to see how young players perform to decide whether they would fit into the senior team. My understanding is that it really changes nothing in terms of growth or potential and you can simply ignore it

Youth player faces are still horrible, most players look like little girls or like having some sort of mental problem. I don not know who edited these, but they should be fired. You simply can not make something like that for a game that sells all over the world and call it a revolution. Beside the fact that the name pool is very limited, having these terrible faces makes the career mode simply not playable. Most part of these faces need eliminated at least we should be allowed to edit them ourselves and the names also. I promise that any user can make a better face than the super team from EA and have a better imagination for choosing a name. It is simply a mystery to me how, for so many years, thing like these, that do not need licensing, just get delayed and when finally something moves, the result is, well..shocking, and not in the good way.

I agree. I would like to have a few more options to control certain things though. Squad numbers for instance. I have a keeper, who was randomly assigned the number 3 shirt, and an outfield player (a winger, as I recall) who wore number 1. As a football fan that just hurts my eyes...

Now that we can play with the youth team, it would be great to also be able to choose squad numbers, captaincy etc. Choosing another formation would also be nice.

And of course... The ability to edit player names, appearances etc., if we find a gem but the player looks like a 12 year old girl or something.

Title update 5 is out and we aren’t getting better youth academy players faces….still these ugly boys or girls in our saves. Very disappointed!!!

Do the ai youth players eventually get promoted to the senior team or do they just disappear?

Yeah, I kinda wonder myself ... What happens to the youth players that my scout monitored but they signed for another club?
