when i look in the downloads folder it has a bunch of the sims packs that I try to install but never does... it only like 3 different one but it is duplicates....
I delete the log and try that.

Oh I guess when I delete them from my launcher they get deleted from the downloads. They like to randomly show up in my downloads launcher....
Yes, when you delete them from downloads folder, they are gone from launcher and other way round.
I would not delete them just yet. You can move them somewhere else though.
Okay so it let me dowload and install a world from the exchange and that worked. I downloaded my bought items and they "installed" but are not showing up in my game...
A custom world or a Store world ? Does other stuff show up or nothing ?
its a custom world but it wouldnt let me download it before.... nothing that I bought shows up

Usually it works if you reset the user files as described before.
Don't know what else to suggest, tbh.
What kind of stuff are you trying to install ? Objects ? Clothing ? Does that custom world show up ?
the custom world shows up, i can even play in it....
my store stuff is a mix of objects, clothes and sets....
maybe ill go back and read more on the link of items not showing up in store... I didnt really get to do that one because it stopped letting me download again.
Just remove the ebc files from that folder and reinstall everything. That should not affect your ability to download.
You can even download everything first, then remove the ebc files from DCBackup and then reinstall your stuff.

Ill have you know it finally worked!!! Removing the ebc files and just re downloading everything worked... It was beird because I had like 94 ebc files but now that i downloaded again i only have like 4.... maybe thats the cause......
I also re deleted the cache files again too....

Hi, I'm having this same problem now. This is just since the most recent patch as of last Fall of 2015. I've tried both going directly through the store to d/l store content and worlds and going through my purchase history to d/l owned items. The only thing that happens is that the origin window will come up and nothing else happens. My launcher will not come up and when I load it manually, there is nothing in it. I tried placing the sims3pack files that I have saved of these items into my launcher downloads folder and then click on "install," but it will NOT install. I have gotten the "fail" msg on every single store item and world that I own! What's going on?
Could you check the log file to what the message is ?
sims3launcher.log or something along these lines in your documents folder.
