Re: Issues with TSLhost.dll after re-installing The Sims 3 base
Hello,
Since I changed my Disc and I lost all my stuff I was having issues installing the Sims3 + some expansion packs (All CD versions). All because of that annoying message that the TSLhost already existed, and everytime I pressed the ignore button it would wreck my launcher. It took me about 3 days of installing, uninstalling and clearing the registry and a bunch of folders until I got it to work. I won't be able to tell you in the end what did work cause it got to a point where I was so tired that I tried a couple of things at the same time. And the things I changed were:
- The installation folder->Instead of installing on the C: Program files(x86) I simply changed it to the C: Program Files;
- After I finished installing the Sims 3 I simply denied the installation of the most recent EA downloader and patched it manually with the super patcher (with my Origin unistalled);
After this, the launcher was working and I just installed my Expansion Packs. I still havent Installed the most recent Origin software though, since my game is now working on the 1.63 patch and I just wanted to play, but I'm aware some people might have to install if they have mixed versions of the game ( Digital and CD). If I had to do it I would probably do it only after the pacth is applied tho.
Hope this helps someone, since I was running through forums and didnt found anything that would help my case..
